I was looking for an old Nirvana variety called 'Early Misty', which I grew over 20 years ago. In those days strains with misty genes were quite special amongst my circle. The Early misty had a creamy coffee/spicy flavour that was really unique, everyone loved it. I was talking with Jim at Nirvana, and he helped and advised me on where the misty genes are these days and it seems they are still present in only a few varieties. Nirvana customer service is second to none. So, I'm really excited to try this Misty kush. Master kush itself is an excellent strain which always gives me a creative effect, truly old school flavour, and the misty is really special and unique. When most people think of 'old school', they usually think of 'Skunk 1' or Northern light' or 'white widow' etc, but the misty genes are a much looked over gene that for some reason became a kind of 'if you know, you know' type thing. I think people were craving higher THC levels and the misty probably fell behind a bit, but, it was quite special in its day, just as nice as any of the other old schoolers. I'll post another review after the season. Thanks to Jim at Nirvana. I've asked questions to other seedbanks but they never can be bothered to reply. Nirvana really are the best.
Grew very well and uniform. Very strong before bed buzz. One of my favorites i took clones of.
Seeds delivered within a few weeks and as is typical, they all germinated. Strong, uniform plants producing dense crystal-covered pungent buds. Strong, in fact seems quite a bit stronger than advertised. Typical kush growth habit aroma & flavor. Definitely worth growing - more than once.
I'm outdoors and 6 out 0f 10 seeds germinated cuz of some unexpected cold spring nights. One matured early that was in a grow bag. I got about 3/4 of a pound. The other 5 are really large plants with humongous buds and so frosty and stanky. It's such a deep heavy stone with a fragrance like a chemical and over ripe fruit. One bong hit is devastating. A few of the plants are over 7 1/2 ft and are a week or so from harvest, and they are freaking gorgeous. Growing Misty Kush was easy and fun despite terrible outside conditions . It is fast in vegetative stage. I top plants only once and do lots off screen training. Respond well on anything including LST, HST, Topping, Prunning...
This cultivar love high strength nutrients feeding and high intensity off light.
Flowering within full 9 weeks, two different Feno, but all plants share same genotype with very similar growth pattern so it is easy for SCROG or SOG.. Streching is about 2x in height after switching to 12/12, medium to tall in height.
Great cultivar for beginners and PROs with explosives' growth and high yield.
When growing its have smell off earthy/Kush with hint of gas/cinnamon and fruity undertones. Its complex terp profile and very from plant to plant.
Resistance on daisies and pest is high..
