Apple Fritter Feminized
The Apple Fritter can grow into a very tall plant. Especially during the vegetative stage, you will notice her stretching quite a bit. A bit of control is necessary when growing in indoor environments. Luckily, she responds pretty well to training. You can shape this strain to your liking and keep her at bay. We still recommend some form of planning with extra vertical height when growing indoors to let her reach her full potential.
Growing
Apple Fritter is a cross of two cookie families. Making her genetics lean on the side of cookie strains. She is the result of crossing Sour Apple and Animal Cookies, which gave her the traits of flowering dense buds coated with resin. It takes a bit longer for her flowers to ripen, but the result will certainly please you.
Indoor
She grows vigorously indoors with strong branches. With a bit of training to control her size, she can be one of your money makers indoors. Due to the controlled nature of growing inside, she can perform exceptionally well indoors when given enough space. The only tricky part is during flowering, especially late flowering when the buds are almost finished flowering. This is when the buds are most at risk of forming mold; the dense nature of the buds captures a lot of water. So it is necessary to keep the humidity low with great airflow to prevent mold from growing on your buds.
Outdoor
Growing Apple Fritter outside is best suited for warmer and dry climates. With enough space, she will fully express her size and yield potential. She will naturally grow into a tall and wide plant. The branches are spread, promoting airflow and making it easier for all the leaves to catch some sun. She finishes late, so keep an eye on her if you encounter a rainy season.
Fungal resistance
Apple Fritter is fairly resistant to mold and pests. But just like every strain with very dense buds at later stages of flowering, mold becomes a risk. The dense buds and thick foliage can trap a lot of moisture. If the humidity is too high. And there is no proper ventilation to circulate the air. Mold can form on the buds.
Flowering time
Indoor
While growing Apple Fritter inside. She typically flowers in 8 to 10 weeks. Depending on your environment, she might even finish a bit later. Keeping your grow space cozy with enough light will keep her on schedule.
Outdoor
Growing her outdoors can unlock her full potential. She finishes around mid- to late October in Mediterranean climates. Making her a fairly late finisher, but the wait will be worthwhile because she will reward you with a significant yield in the final week.
Yield
Indoor
The yields are very high under perfect conditions. With the training, she can yield 650 g/m² indoors. Just by letting her do her thing, you can already expect around 550 g/m² of harvest. Some strong lighting and good climate control will help her to finish strong.
Outdoor
Outdoor yield is even more impressive when she is grown in a warm and dry climate with plenty of sunlight. Under these conditions she can produce 600 to 800 grams per plant. Even more so with large and well-trained plants.
Plant height & structure
Apple Fritter feminized develops strong and spread branches on its own. She tends to grow tall but with strong branches, which allows her to easily hold up her own dense buds. The room between branches promotes airflow through the plant, which helps with keeping the mold at bay. It also allows the sun to penetrate through the plant, promoting growth, and helps with ripening the flowers.
Training
Training the Apple Fritter is highly effective. She responds very well to training. Even for growers with limited experience, it is recommended to try out some form of training. It will develop your growing expertise and improve your yield. A win-win situation! Experienced growers can go all out and create some monsters for hefty yields.
Smell, taste and effects
She is known for her unmistakable smell. Some call it a dessert-like aroma and say it reminds them of sweet baked apples. The taste definitely has some sweet undertones, which can remind you of creamy pastry. The spice-like notes are akin to vanilla, and the subtle earthy undertones will wrap up its unique profile.
The effects are balanced. It starts with a euphoric and mood-lifting high in your head. Followed by a warm and body-relaxing effect. Which can help with easing up your tensions without knocking you out immediately. At higher doses the sedating effects will start to slip, though, and your body will feel heavier. It's best suited for relaxing environments. But at lower doses, it can definitely be a great companion for daily use.
