By crossing OG Kush which is known for its potency, sturdy low profile characteristics and hard-core lemon, fuel terpene profile, with Train wreck, we were able to enhance the yield and long bud structure from the Train wreck and create a hybrid that has an overwhelmingly tasty flavor and enticing fragrance.

Candy Kush has a high resistance like both parents and will display the best of indica and sativa lineage. Now you can enjoy the best of both worlds without experiencing any unwanted heavy physical effects.

Indoor
Candy Kush likes to stay low and short during the vegetative stage, and will produce short internodal spacing. When flowering, the height will almost treble in size, making her a tall sized cultivar. The aroma will be fruity, floral, pungent, and earthy, as she develops long, thick shaped calyxes that stack up high. Highly recommended for Sea of Green setups.

Outdoor
Outdoors, Candy Kush can get very tall with long side branches, growing as tall as 180 cm (71 inches) in some cases. We advise planting in a SOG and using small-sized pots such as 7.5-10 liters (2 gallons) and keeping closely together.

Fungal resistance

This hybrid has inherited the best traits from both parents, meaning she has a high resistance to pathogens such as mold and powdery mildew. Candy Kush is well suited for high altitude grows, as she can endure strong winds and intense sunlight.

Flowering time

Indoor
Depending on phenotype, plants will be ready to harvest in as little as 7 weeks or as late as 9 weeks. She is one of the quickest flowering hybrids we have to offer, and phenotype hunting will be extremely rewarding.

Outdoor
Depending on climate, Candy Kush seeds when planted in May will be ready to harvest towards the end of October. Some faster finishing phenotypes can be ready by the middle of October.

Yield

Indoor
One of the best things about this hybrid is how productive she is, which is why she is popular among commercial growers. Expect yields of 600 g/m² (2 oz per square foot) when grown together in a Sea of Green.

Outdoor
Despite her fast flowering time, Candy Kush seeds can produce 650 grams (23 oz) per plant. We advise applying training whilst plants are in the vegetative stage to increase yields further, and to keep the plants in a South-facing location.

Plant height & structure

Thanks to the Train wreck heritage, you can expect this strain to grow tall with a large amount of side branching. She grows much taller than other Kush varieties, so it is advised to train plants in the vegetative stage to reduce plant height.

She will grow rapidly in the growth period and fill out with a bushy, wide structure and in flower stretch quite considerably. Expect plants to finish around 150 cm (59 inches) without training.

Training

We recommend topping the Candy Kush plants a week before changing the timers to 12/12 to allow the final height to be reduced. Growers with limited height should also consider LST to help control the aggressively fast stretch.

Smell, taste and effect

She is not called Candy Kush for nothing and will blow you away with her intense fruity, sweet and citrus terpene profile. The aroma of a dried flower is similar to fresh fruit, candy and pine-sol.

The flavor can be described as earthy sweet, candy, tropical fruits with a fuel and lemon after-taste. Flavor chasers will really appreciate this strain and will find the dry sift and water hash to be superb.

The effects from Candy Kush are not as devastating as a typical OG, and users will find she is more euphoric and relaxing, than narcotic and heavy. A wonderful high that can be described as euphoric, delirious and intensely relaxed, making her a good strain for daytime use without feeling sleepy.

An excellent choice for smokers who enjoy Kush and want a fair blend of sativa and indica effects. Her flavors are sublime and can be described as heavenly sweet, candy, fruits, flowers, and a slight citrus edge.
