AK-48 Autoflower is our automatic version of AK-48, meaning you can grow this stealthy and low maintenance strain all year round. Growing
The breeders at Nirvana were able to create a solid autoflowering line by crossing AK-48 with Ruderalis. We wanted to enhance the flowering time to suit outdoor growers, and were able to do so by creating an autoflowering hybrid that can be harvested 11-13 weeks after planting.
This strain is an excellent choice for growers who want a discreet, medium-sized Cannabis plant that has a low aroma when flowering.
Indoor
She is a fast-growing variety that will grow with an open structure and medium-sized internodes. AK-48 Autoflower will produce plenty of side branches and growth shoots, making her a bushy but low profile cultivar.
Her final height will remain around 100 cm (39 inches), making her ideal for growers with limited room indoors. With training, it is possible to reduce the final height even further, if challenged with limited indoor space.
Outdoor
One of the most reliable plants that you can find outdoors as she is tough, resilient and thrives in hot or cold climates. She particularly loves hot weather and can take large amounts of organic or hydroponic feed. Her terpene profile is fruity and floral, so you don’t need to worry about her causing unwanted aromas. An excellent strain for growers who want a stealth and low profile cultivar that is not too aromatic as well.
Fungal resistance
AK-48 Autoflower is a tough, resistant strain like its mother so can take hot days and cold nights very well, making her perfect for balcony, terrace and outdoor growing. Growers who live in a hot climate will find this cultivar to be super easy to grow and maintain.
Flowering time
Indoor
Thanks to her autoflowering traits, AK-48 Autoflower will require between 77-90 days before she is fully ready. For the best results, provide either 12 or 18 hours of HID lighting.
We advise growing these seeds closely together in small-sized pots and working with a large volume of plants to get the most out of your indoor garden.
Outdoor
Depending on the climate and what time of year, flowering time will take 11-13 weeks. We recommend planting outdoors from June until September. If possible, keep your plants growing in a South-facing location to get as much direct light as possible.
Yield
Indoor
Yields can go up to 400 g/m² (1,3 oz/sq ft) depending on light cycle, pot size and nutrients. It is advised to grow AK-48 Autoflower indoors under 12 or 18 hours of HID lighting for the best results.
Outdoor
Yields of 120 grams (4 oz) per plant are no problem, depending on the time of year, and how large your plants become outdoors. The best time of the year to plant outdoors is between June until September.
Plant height & structure
Thanks to the influence from the Top 44 x Early Special, AK-48 Autoflowering will remain small, finishing between 80-100 cm once flowered. Her buds will fill out from head to toe, making AK-48 Auto easy to trim and a great choice for beginner growers who are new to autoflowering varieties.
Training
It is advised to grow AK-48 Auto in a Sea of Green, as she grows with multiple side branching with uniform characteristics. The plants will remain uniform and keep a discreet and low profile.
Smell, taste, and effect
Her smell can be described as a fruity, berry and floral terpenes with overtones of sweet hash. Certainly, an old school profile that has mild savory and spice notes. Once grinding a dried flower, the aroma is more emphasized with a bold, earthy hash smell which has mild citrus.
When smoking a joint of flowers, there will be an immediate taste of berry fruits with earthy-citrus overtones. This automatic takes on a smooth fruity edge, making her perfect for those who enjoy a fruity mouthwash when smoking. I have 31 DIFFERENT strains and 2 that I got auto flowers and feminized photos of (blue dream and critical) hahaha it's been a fun start to a couple year breeding project so I got to enjoy some new ones and quite a few old school strains and gotta say that the ak48 auto for bag appeal and flowering/fresh cut smell is in top 3.. Northern California Humboldt County weather but even in warm June evenings this lady still showed her true colors and has a nose that makes you stop when you go to pass it in the garden EVERYTIME.. Finished right along with the northern lights auto nice and quickly and would highly recommend
Mal wieder tolle Qualität, gute Genetic und zügiges Keimen. Ich habe bisher nicht alle Samen verwendet, da in Deutschland bis zu 3 Pflanzen erlaubt sind. Die Pflanze entwickelt sich auch unter nicht optimalen Bedingungen richtig gut und bleibt zugleich schön kompakt. Meine AK ist nun im Übergang von Vorblüte zur Blüte und alles läuft gut, eben wie gewohnt von diesem Shop. Danke!
"I recently finished a run of AK-48 Auto and I’m beyond impressed. As a grower who focuses on making my own rosin, I was looking for something with a 'sandy' trichome texture, and this delivered exactly that.
The plants stayed nice and compact (around 90cm), making them very easy to manage in my small tent. What surprised me most was how low-odor they were during the flowering phase—perfect for stealth. However, once I harvested and started sifting, the earthy citrus and floral terps really came alive.
It’s a very resilient strain that handled LST like a champ and finished fast (just under 11 weeks). The dry sift yield was excellent and pressed into a beautiful, stable, golden rosin. If you want a fast, easy-to-grow 'washer,' this is it. Definitely adding this to my permanent rotation!"

Buds were huge
This was my first time growing autoflowers, and I was not disappointed. This strain has great effects, and the small/taste was on the same level as anything I can get at the dispensary. After this strain, I am sold on Autoflowers. Definitely looking forward to my next AK 48 run!

Von 6 Samen sind 4 gekeimt wovon 2 absolut nicht wachsen wollten. Das hat sich auch im Ertrag bemerkbar gemacht. Die anderen 2 Pflanzen waren auch total unterschiedlich, eine ist gespargelt wie blöd und hatte mini Blüten die stark nach Zitro riechen. Die andere ist normal gewachsen, hat feste große Buds und die riechen echt streng. Ich baue seit 2012 immer mal wieder AK48 an aber nur feminisierte Samen. Die Autos hatten absolut keine Ähnlichkeit im Geruch, Geschmack oder der Wirkung zu feminisierten Samen.
Da ich mir eine neue Mutterpflanze gemacht habe und viel Platz hatte dache ich ein paar Autos kommen bestimmt ganz gut so lange die Mutti nicht das ganze Zelt einnimmt aber das war wohl nix... 18 Stunden 300 Watt und nur 65g von 6 Samen... Mein Fazit : Mach ich besser nicht wieder! :) :) :)

I purchased these a few years ago and never got around to growing them. I finally decided to get to them and was unsure if the seeds would sprout after 4 years in the drawer. Three sprouted out of 4 and produced excellent quality buds. Nirvana has been an excellent choice in obtaining quality seeds with great prices.

Decided to grow four plants due to indoor space,all germed nicely.Pruning,lst,SOG set-up.During flowering they showed two different phenos,two shorter mainly,but also,two had more sativa-like properties.Finished out right at 9-10 weeks.Solid greasy buds with diesel smell yet easy on the lungs smoke unless you hit it hard,then it'll hit you hard lol.Will certainly grow this again.Thanks Nirvana Team,this one's a keeper!
I have had this as a feminized photo period and hands down very good harvest on that one . This version in the auto flower version provided a decent yield and quality wise almost up to what a full season photo period would be
Was fairly easy to grow . Could probably handle LST training and not be too stressed out . Overall a good solid strain

I can't review these seeds because I got them for a friend, however I have got four seeds of candy kush that I intend to start shortly, I'm looking forward to the grow and will review after the cure.
